Pasta Sauce

This is another one of my mothers recipes that I've tweeked a bit.. just to make it easier for me to make!

1tbs olive oil
1 medium onion
6 cloves garlic
2 28oz cans Hunts Tomato Sauce
2 28oz cans Hunts Crushed tomatoes
Garlic Powder

I don't measure spices.. So start with 1tsp of each and add more if you need.

Use a food processor to mince the onions and garlic. Then sautée over medium heat with olive oil in a large pot until fragrant. Add both cans of crushed tomatoes. Add in all your spices. Stir well. When it starts bubbling add in your sauce and mix well again. At this point taste it and season again to your liking. Lower heat and let simmer. Usually for 30-45 mins. Then it's ready!

You can use some right away and freeze the rest. Just wait for it to cool to room temperature. I use mason jars to freeze. 1 jar is enough for 1box of pasta. This makes approximately 5 jars.
